Fuel Injectors N30, N31, N32, N33, N83, and N84

N30, N31, N32, N33, N83, N84
The fuel injectors for the MPI system are 4-hole single stream injectors. The injectors are located in front of the intake valves.

Battery voltage is supplied tothe injectors via a 12 amp circuit breaker located in the electronic control box (above the MPI control unit or underneath the steering column).

The power supplied to the injectors does not use external resistance. Due to the sequential fuel injection, a separate power output stage is provided for each injector.

The MPI control unit controls the opening time of the injectors by supplying a ground for each injector.

Substitute Function

In the event of a short circuit to positive (power being bypassed around the injector), the injector that is affected will be switched off until the ignition is turned off. Full throttle enrichment and oxygen sensor control is switched off for the cylinder bank concerned.

Self-diagnosis

The ECU recognizes the following faults:
  • Short circuit to positive
  • Open circuit/short circuit to ground
